There were a few shock victories and a lot of emotional thank yous at the star-studded ceremony - here's what happened in full
The National Television Awards saw a lot of emotional thank yous and some shock victories.

The star-studded awards took place tonight at London's O2 Arena, hosted by Dermot O'Leary with Scarlett Moffatt helping out backstage with the presenting duties.

There were a lot of return winners, as well as some first time victories, and we've got a full list of winners - and nominees - for you below.

Winner: Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway
Picking up their first award for Saturday Night Takeaway, Ant said: “Thank you thank you.

"We are thrilled with this award we love making Saturday Night Takeaway this really is our baby. What a thrill, thank you very much.”

Dec added: “Thank you to all of the talented people behind us who come up with all the ideas.

"I am thrilled that you enjoy watching it. We are back at the end of the February for another run.”

Drama Performance

Winner: Sarah Lancashire (Happy Valley)
Happy Valley star Sarah Lancashire was named the winner of the drama performance category.

The actress, who plays tough policewoman Catherine Cawood in the BBC One drama, sent a message as she was unable to collect her award.

She said: "I am so sorry I can't be with you but I'm absolutely thrilled and delighted to win this award. Particularly as it has been voted for by you, the viewers, and that means such a lot to me."

She also thanked the people of West Yorkshire for "letting us take over their streets and their homes".

Winner of Serial Drama Performance, EastEnders’ Lacey Turner said: “Oh my goodness, I was so sure I was staying in my seat.

"I feel so lucky to wake up every day and love my job. I really am part of a community and one big family. This one is for the Fowlers!”
